Outings & Visits

Outings and visits provide important opportunities for learning and are an essential part of a child’s experience.  These occasions enhance the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and help children to understand the world around them.

Outings include a “Sound” walk to the village, designing postcards and then taking a trip to the local post office to mail their letters, a walk in the woods, a trip to a farm or playground.

Visitors such as the vet, dentist, mums with new babies and the Library van, all promote children’s knowledge and awareness of the world the children live in.

During outings, safety of the children is paramount and staff ratios will be maintained at all times.
